MY DAY AS A LOGISTICS TECHNOLOGIST

Hello, my name is Andrés and my job is logistics. I'm going to tell you what a normal day in my life is like.

Normally, my alarm goes off at 5:00 a.m. I get up, make myself a quick breakfast and take a shower. I like to start the day calmly, so I take my time to get dressed and prepare my backpack with my laptop and the documents I will need.

I leave my house at 6:30 a.m. and head to the company. The first thing I do when I arrive is check my email to see if there is any express delivery or an important message from a supplier. Then, I check the truck schedules and routes to make sure everything is in order for the day.

At 10:00 a.m. I like to take a walk around the warehouse. It is important that everything is organized. I check the products and talk to the workers to see if they need help with anything. I like to be close to the team and make sure everyone is well.

For lunch, at 12:30 p.m., I usually eat something simple like rice, chicken or a salad. Sometimes, I have lunch with my colleagues. We talk about work, sports or music. After a short break, I return to my tasks.

The afternoon is for action. I go back to the warehouse to check the inventory and help my team with the shipments. At 3:00 p.m., I talk to customers to confirm orders and solve any problems that may arise. Logistics is a job of solving problems quickly, so if a truck is delayed, I have to find a solution immediately.

My working day usually ends at 5:00 p.m., although sometimes I stay longer if there are urgent deliveries. At the end of the day, I feel tired, but satisfied because I know that my work is key to everything running well.

When I get home, I relax. I have dinner, watch some TV or play something. I also take the opportunity to be with my family. I usually go to bed around 10:00 p.m., because I know that rest is essential to perform at my best in my work.
